Soft Stool

I submit for your approval: the soft stool. Made from some sort of faux leather material and acrylic paint. The idea was to take an object that we rely on for its stability and make it completely useless by recreating it in an opposite material.

Midterm Messss

This is what my place looked like after midterms. Remember how I wanted to finish the phone by (insert unrealistic goal here)? Well, I still have not finished it. It's close, though! I just need to finish sewing the top and paint on some numbers and details.

More updates soon, as I have another project due this Friday!

payphoney

People have been thinking that I used an actual phone cord, so here is the proof that I have not! It's made from this wire/ribbon stuff from Michael's that looks like a long twist tie, wrapped around a rubber tube.

This is rather ambitious, but I'm attempting to finish the plush payphone by tomorrow. I'm going to try to get the bulk of it finished tonight. This is the first term that I've had 3 midterm projects due in one week, so I'm rightfully scared.

On the plus side, come Friday, I'll be halfway through this monster of a term!

plush payphone- in progress

Whoaaa just finished sewing the receiver. It feels like I've been working on it for a week straight! My fingers are SORE. I'll have better photos when I'm done!

Not bad for a Sunday!

This morning while riding up to what little snow Southern California has to offer with my parents and dogs, I remembered that today is the day that I am scheduled to be featured on the blog Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast!

And here I am

Happy Holidays!

I just had to double check with a friend of mine to make sure that Christmas Eve really is tomorrow! Now, here is my gift to you: the posting of some of my favorite things I've created over the past term at Art Center College of Design*!

*Okay, that is a crap gift. Stop by later for some cocoa.

Hello!!

Oh man, I returned from APE in San Francisco at 3am last night. I just now discovered that Ping's website was up as my site because we were testing it, which is totally rad since I scrambled all week to get my own website in working order and handed out a ton of business cards. Sorry to the two people that actually visited to my site and were confused.

Anyway, check it out, ilovemashanda.com, even though it's not exactly winning any web design awards YET.

On to the mustaches!!
